Jordan Sparks Is Beautiful

I think Jordan Sparks is stunning, and I think she is a great role model for young girls! She doesnt starve herself, and has a lovely figure, never feels the need to walk around naked! She lets her music, style and natural beauty do the talking without selling herself out!

Yummy Mummy Bags Add A Touch Of Glamour

Yummy Mummy over night bags and changing bags add a touch of glamour to the not so glamorous world of having a new born baby! I just purchased one for my friend and she loved it! It was very similar to the one in the image I have attached above, except it was a lighter pink. I love the Yummy Mummy range (although it is a bit expensive) and I really think they should expnand and do more clothes etc! Take a look see what you think!  www.PinkLining.co.uk/YummyMummy if I ever have another baby one of their bags will be at the top of my wish list!

I Hate Flat Shoes! - But I will find a way to make them glam!

Ok so I have a 6 year old daughter and every day I have to collect her from school! I finish work at 3pm and schools out at 3.30pm that gives me exactly 30 minutes to get to the school to collect my little beauty queen! I walk there so it isnt really sensible to wear my high heels but when I put on my flat shoes I just feel so frumpy and like my personality been stripped away!!!!! Sad but true!!!!!!! Im on a mission this month to find a sensible Yummy Mummy outfit thats comfortable enough to do the 25 minute walk in and makes flat shoes almost glam! Wish me luck!

I LOVE THIS DRESS

I love this vintage dress! Its actually a vintage wedding dress! Just thought it I should show it as I felt it  should be seen and deserved some RESPECT! Love it, love it, love it!

1950s Fashion - Dresses

Dresses: The Beautiful Celia Cruz

The 1950s is most defo my fave fashion era, the Groomed and tailored look were the hottest items around . Acting and looking “lady like” was taught virtually from birth. Heels and gloves were basically required to complete the "lady like' outfit. There were different kinds of dresses; one was a summery afternoon floral, it has a swing skirt attached to a top. Girdle was a necessary part of all ensembles even though you didn't see it. A girdle was almost necessity with the pencil style. They wore these kinds of dresses to show their curvy bodies. They called this the 'figure eight'. Young teens or girls did not wear these types of dresses, because it was too provocative. The dress also boasts bolero sleeves, which were very popular, I have attached a pic of the beautiful Celia Cruz I think she looks absolouly stunning, I would kill for this dress!

Makeup

Is there a secret behind putting on makeup? In a word, no. Applying makeup is about knowing how makeup works – how it makes one area stand out and another recede, why it glides over dry skin or adheres to oily skin. The best way to learn makeup is to experiment. Im lucky as I have 5 sisters all of us look totally different and have completly different skin tones, so I get to play around with their faces and find out what works and what doesnt! One lady who always got her makeup oh so right was Marilyn Monroe! I love everything about her and the way she looked! She was a true fashion icon who never let the glamour go!
